IP Continuing Education: Michigan State University, Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection

IP Continuing Education: Michigan State University Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection – AUDIO – IPPIBlog.com

As another school year is about to begin, it is a good time for us IP crime and protection professionals to also consider the educational opportunities out there to further advance our knowledge of the IP infringement problem, and learn innovative ways of combatting it.

Michigan State University’s Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection (A-CAPP) offers just such an opportunity.

The following quote from the program’s website lays out their standing and mission:

“The Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection (A-CAPP) is the first and preeminent academic body focusing upon the complex global issues of anti-counterfeiting and product protection of all products, across all industries, in all markets on strategies to work effectively to detect, deter, and respond to the crime.

Brand owners, government agencies, professional associations, and others all share in the challenge of responding to counterfeit goods and product protection issues. The A-CAPP Center is an independent, interdisciplinary evidence-based hub, offering research, educational programs, information, and partnership opportunities designed to assist in protecting brands and products of all industries worldwide.”

I highly recommend you visit their website, and explore the depth of international educational resources made available, and the comprehensive perspective that A-CAPP offers.
