Fareed Zakaria of CNN recently interviewed the Chairman of TSMC, Mark Liu. TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.) is the premier Taiwanese chip manufacturing company.

Just to give you a sense of TSMC’s share of the semiconductor (a.k.a. microchip) market, it supplies 65 percent of the microchips used in North America.
