FBI Announces: Beware of QR Codes

This will be a very short post because there’s nothing more to say than to take a minute to read yesterday’s FBI announcement titled, “Cybercriminals Tampering with QR Codes to Steal Victim Funds.”

If you want more context, read a ZDNet article written today titled, “FBI warning: Crooks are using fake QR codes to steal your passwords and money.”

And, finally, if you want to see a demonstration of people getting scammed take a look at (of all places) this Dr. Oz segment titled, “Scanning Scams: QR Codes That Clear Out Your Bank Account!”
